Realizing that communication is a skill—something I could learn—And that it’s the foundation of connection, I became obsessed with mastering it.
The journey that led to these gems began behind the chair as a Toni&Guy hairdresser, where I was trained in the art of the consultation—a puzzle that, when solved with care, builds trust and helps people walk away feeling seen, heard, and beautiful.
I’ve worked in customer service for nearly 30 years and loved every minute of helping people feel understood. Over time—and quite naturally—I shifted from solving aesthetic problems to emotional ones, and returned to school to earn a B.A. in Communications at Sam Houston State University. I studied conflict, culture, race, negotiation, and human connection. The logical next step through my progression of purpose led me to Midwestern State University to earn an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Today, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, helping high-achieving individuals who have learned to over-accommodate—or over-control—to protect themselves from emotional chaos. These survival patterns often lead to resentment and disconnection. I help clients build meaningful, emotionally safe relationships—personally and professionally.
If you’re a high-performer who’s tired of people-pleasing, walking on eggshells, or being misunderstood—let’s talk.
